The Fayetteville Dinner Theatre has returned to Fayetteville and Cumberland County after a 35-year hiatus. Formerly known as the Bordeaux Dinner Theatre, the new FDT has been resurrected by local businessman, newspaper publisher, and entrepreneur Bill Bowman and is being heralded as “Fayetteville’s newest and most unique theater experience.” Defined, this means a full evening of fun and entertainment that includes much more than great theater performed by talented professional actors. Each FDT experience begins with a Welcome Reception and Wine-Tasting hosted by Gates Four County Club. All proceeds are donated to Cumberland County education through the Kidsville News Literacy and Education Foundation (501c3) that provides reading and educational resources for local children and teachers. Each evening performance includes the Welcome Reception, Full Service bar w/all ABC permits, three-course plated-entrée dinner created and served by the talented staff at Gates Four Country Club. During this time, FDT guests relax and enjoy preshow entertainment. There are always plenty of prizes and surprises, including a post-show meet-and-greet with the actors.
“With a fun show, welcome reception, great dinner, door prizes all culminating with a post-show meet-and-greet, the FDT strives to provide an enjoyable and unique dinner theatre experience for our guests. said FDT producer Bill Bowman. “It’s all about giving local theatre audiences excellent entertainment at a great value. No longer do Fayetteville audiences need to go to Raleigh or Greensboro for a superb dinner theater experience.
Tickets range from $75/$85 per person with special discounts for Seniors 65+ and active-duty military. Group discounts are also available.
